Here it is - a picture of a student actually testing her answer from a max/min problem earlier this year! Note the protractor and pencil to measure angle. You should all be so creative and excited about Math 150s!
Due on Monday, April 16th, is some trigonometric practice. From Chapter 8.3; Problems 11,16,20,32,35, and 49. From Chapter 8.4; Problems 2,4,7,8,16,23, and 46. Remember, the exam is coming up - probably a week from Friday.
The final assignment before the midterm is the following on trig subs and partial fractions. Ask for any solutions to confusing homework now or hold your peace! From Chapter 8.4; Problems 12,22,31, and 38. From Chapter 8.5; Problems 5,6,8,10,12,14,19,24, and 27.
Welcome back from the midterm! Due on Monday, April 30th, is totally different homework, a sizable chunk. Let's get used to sequences now, not later. In that spirit, from Chapter 10.1; Problems 3,6,15,16,22,23,26,27, and 28 are assigned - the last three are rather theoretical, so put your thinking caps on. From Chapter 10.2; Numbers 9,12,18,26,31,45,47, and 58. From Chapter 10.3; Exercises 1,2,8, and 9. This is not as much as it seems like, because a lot of them are not really computational, but identificational. You'll see what I mean when you do them.
Due on Wednesday, May 2nd, are the following sequence limit problems: from Chapter 10.3, Problems 11,14,21,27,33,43, and 44. Chapter 10.4 problems are postponed.
Due Monday, May 7th, are the following problems: from Chapter 10.4, Problems 3,5,8,10,14,24,25,32,33 and 41. From Chapter 10.5, problems 1,2,3,8,9, and 37.

For Wednesday, May 23rd, I would like some good convergence problems. From Chapter 11.4, please do Problems 9,10,16,18,23,26,30,44, and 45. But we also need to get going with Taylor; hence, from Chapter 11.5, do Problems 2,3,8,11, and 16.
The LAST Homework of the year! Way to go, guys - you were real troopers. For Wednesday, May 30th, please complete the following final homework assignment of Taylor and power series problems. From Chapter 11.5, Exercises 3,26,27,31,32,42, and 46 (for 26,27,31, and 32, please write the general nth Taylor polynomial as well); from Chapter 11.7, Exercises 2,4,9,12,14,23,24,31,43, and 46. Note: if you really need to, you can turn them in on Friday the 1st of June, but I don't think I can have anything due that day. And if you want them back in time for the final, you just may want to hand them in on Wednesday!
Well, just remember that the final is on Friday June 8 at 8 AM!!! It will cover Chapters 10 and 11. Review session is at 2 PM on Wednesday in Eckhart 207. Have a great summer!
